What about Trophimus?

Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus.

Paul left Trophimus sick in the city of Miletus. Why wasn’t Trophimus healed? For starters, who said Trophimus didn’t get healed? Not all healings happen immediately. Some happen immediately, some happen gradually over time, and others happen instantly but at a later time. I’ve experienced all three in my body and for people that I’ve prayed for – Jesus did too: He spat in the dirt and put mud on a man’s eyes. The man got healed, but not immediately. Jesus sent lepers off walking to the priest. They got healed, but not immediately. We don’t know if Trophimus recovered or not. But even if he didn’t, God’s promises are what dictate God’s will, not the outcome of our (or Trophimus’) situation.
