Satan has been
defeated by the cross, he can't do anything to me...
Right?
Let's
say the Ravens are coming to town next week to play the
Browns. And let's say the Ravens were just defeated by
the Colts. So we can say; The Ravens are a defeated
foe. They've been defeated by the Colts, they can't do
anything to us. Ugh, yeah, the Colts defeated the
Ravens, but have the Browns defeated the Ravens?
Many
people think that the devil is not a problem today because
Jesus defeated him. Yes, Jesus defeated the devil and
made a spectacle of him, but that doesn't mean the devil
isn't still active here on planet earth. When Jesus
defeated the devil, what he did was to make it
possible for you to now defeat the devil as well!
Because many people don't understand this they don't bother
to learn about the spiritual realm and how to do battle
against the devil and his army.
As
soon as you start to teach on the spiritual realm and how to
defeat the tactics of the devil, some religious person
almost always perks up and says, "You're just glorifying the
devil by teaching on him." No, I'm not glorifying the
devil by teaching about him and the spiritual realm.
I'm informing people how to be victorious over the devil's
attacks. The more you know about your enemy and his
tactics, and the weapons that you have available and how to
use them, the better chance you stand to defeat him.
If the
Ravens are coming to town do you think the Brown's coaches
say, well, we're not going to study any game film or tactics
of the Ravens because we don't want to glorify them?
How ridiculous!
Here
are some scriptures. After reading these can you
really say that the devil is not something that we need to
be concerned about? That he's not something that we
need to learn how to resist? That we really don't need
to learn how to do war against him and his angels?

Peter 5:8-9 NIV
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the
devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking
for someone to devour. 9 Resist him,
standing firm in the faith...
James 4:7 NIV
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the
devil , and he will flee from you
Eph 2:1-2 NIV
2:1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and
sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the
ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom
of the air, the spirit who is now
at work in those who are disobedient.

John 5:19 NIV
19 We know that we are children of God, and that
the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
Eph 4:26-27 NIV
26 "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go
down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give
the devil a foothold.
2 Cor 2:10-11 NIV
10 If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I
have forgiven-if there was anything to forgive-I have
forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in
order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are
not unaware of his schemes.
From
what I can see, there needs to be a lot more teaching on the
tactics of Satan's kingdom and how to use the authority that
Jesus gave us to defeat him.
Jesus
defeated the devil, stripped him of his authority, making it
possible for you to defeat him as well. Now, have you
defeated the devil lately?
